Entry Requirements :

a) Job specification

The officer in this level is under training and reports to senior officer

b) Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordination of Security at the Forest Station.
  2. Participating in National Security related events
  3. Conducting forest crime investigation and intelligence activities.
  4. Conducting firearms Inspection within the Station
  5. Administering discipline and attend to welfare of staff.
  6. Lead forest protection and security operations
  7. Receiving and compiling daily, weekly, monthly, annual station reports and

Management of Forest crime reporting system (FCRS)

  1. Supervising training and capacity building of subordinates
  2. Maintaining a database of all security stores and equipment including uniforms.
  3. Ensuring safety of exhibits and stores within the Station
  4. Promoting public service values and ethics
  5. Promoting chapter six of the constitution

c) Entry Requirements

  1. Must be a Kenyan Citizen
  2. Bachelor’s degree in security studies, social science, or relevant qualification from a recognized institution
  3. Be aged between 22 to 30 years
  4. Height of 5.6ft for men and 5.3ft for women
  5. Be physically and medically fit
  6. Female officers should not be Pregnant before recruitment and during training
  7. Proficiency in computer applications
  8. Have a valid Clearance Certificate from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation.

In addition, successful candidates will be required to:

  1. Undergo further medical check-up at the Academy;
  2. Undergo rigorous Forest Law Enforcement (Para-military) training and
  3. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
